“Introduce yourself! What are 5 things that everyone going to BiSC should know about you?”

Hi !

I’m Edwin, nice to meet you ! I’m a #BiSC newbie, a tech geek, and VERY VERY EXCITED!

Here’s a few things about me you might want to know:

1) I’m terrified of flying. And I’m about to get on a 15-20 hr series of flights. So… yeah..

2 ) I’m a workaholic. I’ll easily spend 50 hrs a week at the office, even though i only get payed for 38. I just really like to work. This is related to the next item on this list.

“Introduce yourself! What are 5 things that everyone going to BiSC should know about you?”

1. I have never been on a plane (or even in an airport!) and I’m pretty terrified of flying. Not for fear of crashing, but because I dislike not having control and have mild claustrophobia. This was the main thing holding me back from signing up – I live in New Jersey, so I’ll have to fly – but I decided to throw caution to the wind and conquer my fear.

2. I love sleep. No, seriously. My ‘reputation’ in college was that I would constantly skip class(es) because I was still in bed, sleeping. Napping is my favorite past time. I once slept for 24 hours straight. (I wouldn’t recommend it.)

Hi everyone!

1. Sometimes people think I’m a bitch, but I’m not, I’m just shy. Oh maybe I shouldn’t have lead with this one. Anyway, say hi to me, I’m a really nice person, I promise!

2. I am a firm believer that you can love David Bowie while loving Britney Spears; that you can cherish The Beatles and also Katy Perry; that you can wallow to Leonard Cohen and also to Taylor Swift, and that none of this makes you a bad person.

1. I live in D.C. and like it, but I am from southwest Ohio and I absolutely LOVE all things Ohio. Other locations that are important to me are Lake Jocassee, SC and Rose Lake, MI.

2. I love a lot of TV shows including the West Wing, Parks and Rec, Always Sunny, Gossip Girl, King of the Hill, Pretty Little Liars, Make It or Break It, Sons of Anarchy, Grey’s Anatomy, River Monsters and most reality shows, plus many many more. I like to think that somewhere out there Josh Lyman really exists and I like to think of myself as a real-life Leslie Knope though I’m probably more like a nicer Dee Reynolds.

“Introduce yourself! What are 5 things that everyone going to BiSC should know about you?”

1. I’m an introvert, so if I’m kind of quiet when we first meet, it’s not that I’m judging, it’s that I’d rather hear your stories than tell my own because I already know all of my stories.

2. I give excellent hugs, though sometimes they start to feel inappropriately long. I’m still not going to be the one to let go first. Usually.

“Introduce yourself! What are 5 things that everyone going to BiSC should know about you?”

1) The last time I went to Vegas, I went to see male strippers with my grandma. She’s 80. It was awesome. So yeah, the bar is set pretty high. I’m kind of disappointed there’s no Thunder From Down Under on the agenda. It’s not too late to change that, is it?

2) Do I have to wear white to the Wicked White Party? Can I wear silver instead? Or black? I don’t look good in white. Plus I’m pretty clumsy and will definitely spill something on it or get it dirty somehow. Which is why I’ll never get married. Yeah, I’m using fashion as an excuse, not the fact that I’ve just never found love…

“Introduce yourself! What are 5 things that everyone going to BiSC should know about you?”

1. I am a giant nerd who obsesses over technology, comedy, comics, pop-culture, food, and ties. Basically, if it’s not “sports” or “cars”, I’m probably a fan of it.

2. The biggest reason I’m going to BiSC is because Dominique (@aduronia) said it was awesome. The second-biggest reason is because I’ve never been to Vegas. The third biggest reason is because I wanted something cool to spend my tax refund on.

1. I live in DC and love the following things, most of which I plan on incorporating into this magical Vegas weekend: karaoke, brunch, cats, sugar free red bull, whiskey, dancing, Channing Tatum (he’ll be there, right?), and every kind of cheese you can throw at me. But please don’t actually throw the cheese — that seems like a waste.

2. I own enough strange costume items to host my own weird photobooth type shoot. Wigs, hair fascinators, animal onesies, masks — you name it, I probably own it.
